Monicouche Rendering

 

Monocuche (French for ‘single layer’) is a one-coat, weather resistant render for exterior use.

Being applied in a single layer means it is less labour intensive than traditional house rendering products, although the main disadvantage of monocouche render is the material costs in comparison to traditional cement render costs.

However, monocouche render systems will save you on labour costs and maintenance — there is no need for sealing or re-painting.

It is suitable for most types of traditional masonry brick, blockwork or concrete. It’s ideal for protecting and decorating surfaces whilst maintaining good breathability of your walls.

Monocouche renders have additives which help make them more flexible and to eliminate cracking. They can even be ‘self cleaning’.

It is available in a wide range of different colours and can be finished in a range of textures such as scraped, light sprayed, sponged or float finished.
